Flectron Shielding Fabric
One of the improvements I’ve made to the accordi-anna wallet is the addition of an anti-fraud lining. I made this lining with a fabric called Flectron. This fabric is made from a combination of nickel, copper and polyester Ripstop. The end resulting fabric is quite impressive. The metals give the fabric several very interesting qualities. First, and most importantly, it blocks EMI/RFI frequencies – which is what is used in contactless card payments. A card reader will send out a signal that is picked up by the antenna in your contactless card, transmitting the transaction details between them and enabling the transaction. Between The Shows – Supply Issues
So, having been so successful at the two shows I’ve attended, I did a quick stock check to find that I had run out of almost everything! I have three flip lock purse frames left, and three custom orders to fill, so while i can get on with filling those orders, I cannot make any more stock. I have ordered more, but the estimated delivery date is as late as December 21st, so that will be fun. I am also close to the end of the anti-fraud lining, so I’ve had to order more of that, too. Again, that may not arrive until Christmas, not that it makes much difference…
