Mask Variation – Add a Filter
If you have access to filter fabric, you can add a layer to your mask to increase its effectiveness in removing virus particles from the air breathed through it. Materials In addition to the materials listed in the mask tutorial , you’ll need one rectangle of your filter fabric, slightly smaller than the 6 1/2″x8 Method The method is almost identical to the standard instructions; follow steps 1-6 of the instructions as normal. At step 7, you need to insert your filter fabric between the two layers of fabric you’ve just sewn together. Mask Variation – No Elastic
No Elastic? No problem! Instead, you can make ties. Materials Almost all the same materials as we had before, minus the elastic. Instead, we’re going to need much more binding – ideally bias strips, but we can make do with strips on the grain if needs be. This time, we’re going to want a piece 1 3/4” wide and 30” long. Method Follow the standard instructions until Step 7. Pineapple pop-up
So, having finally made it to the last week before Christmas, the time had come to set up my pop up all for myself. Flectron Shielding Fabric
One of the improvements I’ve made to the accordi-anna wallet is the addition of an anti-fraud lining. I made this lining with a fabric called Flectron. This fabric is made from a combination of nickel, copper and polyester Ripstop. The end resulting fabric is quite impressive. The metals give the fabric several very interesting qualities. First, and most importantly, it blocks EMI/RFI frequencies – which is what is used in contactless card payments. A card reader will send out a signal that is picked up by the antenna in your contactless card, transmitting the transaction details between them and enabling the transaction. Third time lucky? Old Baising 02-Dec
So, this Christmas fayre took place in a beautiful location; the Tudor Great Barn in Old Baising. This event was much bigger than my village fayre, with expected footfall of around 650 people, two choirs and a Tudor court reenactment - you could even go sit on Henry VIII's lap and get a present as though he was Father Christmas.

Lupo Lamb Crochet Pattern
I spend a lot of time on trains. This captive time, albeit time with limited elbow room, is great for listening to an audiobook and doing a bit of crochet. The limited elbow room makes larger projects like jumpers a little difficult, but is ideal for little projects such as Lupo.
